after eating an extravagant amount of blueberry pancakes...

I'm finally done with my final critiques and essays at school and summer has begun. It has been a while since I wrote my first post because I've been so busy with everything.

This was one of the illustrations I did for school on the left. It was based on an article that was in the New York Times in 1889 about a 2-year-old girl named Sophia who got caught in a group of about 3,500 balloons. A man named Gus took his rifle and shot the balloons one by one until she came down and was saved.

Anyways, this needs something. I'm not quite sure what, so I was hoping you could give me some pointers.

This is my first blog and I'm not sure exactly how to use it yet. The purpose of this blog is to show my illustrations, paintings, and sketches and talk about what's going on.

To start things off, I'll introduce myself. My name is Jet. So nice to meet you. I was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA but have been living in Philadelphia for the past three years, attending the University of the Arts. I live with my cat Frida and my sister Michelle. Frida tends to make appearances in my artwork often. Illustration is my major at school and I have a love for all aspects of it such as editorial, book covers, fashion illustration, and product and toy design. You name it, I love it.
